Xinnan Wang, M.D., Ph.D., earned an MD/MSc from China Medical University in 2003; a Ph.D. in genetics from University of Cambridge, United Kingdom in 2007; and did postdoctoral work in neurobiology at Harvard Medical School from 2007-2011. Dr. Wang has been assistant professor at Stanford University School of Medicine since 2012.
Dr. Wang’s research aims to understand the regulatory mechanisms controlling mitochondrial motility, dynamics and function and the mechanisms by which even subtle perturbations of these processes may contribute to neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
