Assistant Professor, Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital, affiliated with the Department of Neurology & Neurosurgery and the Department of Human Genetics
Dr. Ziv Gan-Or, M.D., Ph.D., completed his studies at Tel-Aviv University, with a Ph.D. thesis focused on the role of GBA in Parkinson’s disease, a gene he has been studying since 2006. Dr. Gan-Or is currently an Assistant Professor at The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital), affiliated with the Department of Neurology & Neurosurgery and the Department of Human Genetics at McGill University. His research is focused on Parkinson’s disease and REM-sleep behavior disorder. Dr. Gan-Or’s lab is using advanced genomic, bioinformatic and computational methods to identify genes that are involved in these neurodegenerative disorders, and determine how genetics affect disease progression, response to therapeutics, and other different outcomes.
